Welcome to SCRiPT
High School can be one of the most amazing, and in the same moment, the most difficult times of your life. Plus, it can be a time of doubts, pressures, heartache, and confusion.
SCRiPT is a place where you can come be with other High Schoolers who are facing the same feelings and situations that you are. A place where you can learn about God and what a relationship with Jesus looks like, and together as a community strive to live out your faith in real tangible ways. We call our youth group "SCRiPT" because we want everyone involved to DISCOVER the SCRiPT that God has written for their lives, and act (LIVE) out their SCRiPT with all their heart, soul, and mind!
Come hang out with us sometime! We meet every Sunday here at Cornerstone Church from 5-7pm. Bring a friend with you! We love meeting new people!
Some of our students discuss who Jesus is to them!
SCRIPT is a place where students SEE us living out God's SCRIPT, DISCOVER the SCRIPT God has written for them, and LIVE out his SCRIPT in their own lives!
Frequently Asked Questions:
What does SCRiPT stand for?
SCRIPT stands for the story that God has written for each of us. Our hope is that everyone involved in SCRIPT, not only discovers the SCRIPT that God has written for their lives, but also act out their SCRIPT with all their heart, soul, and mind!
What happens at SCRiPT?
We meet weekly from 5-7pm in the youth room at Cornerstone Church. We start with a big game that takes lots of energy. Generally a game that gets everyone to interact, compete, or team build. Next we do worship followed by a message. The message varies from all kinds of topics! All messages are Scripture based, we like to share personal stories and key leanings from our lives so that our students can relate, get to know us, and hopefully find common ground with us. We break up into small groups after the message to discuss what we have heard and share our hearts in a smaller setting.
Do I have to go to Church to attend SCRiPT?
SCRIPT is open to any high School student (grade 9-12) in the Central Valley and no church affiliation is required. Feel free to bring a friend too!
Is every student in a small group?
Yes! Small groups are a vital piece to our ministry; students need to have the chance to process the messages they are hearing and share what is going on in their lives in a safe, comfortable, consistent setting. This is why we do small groups EVERY week and every student that comes is placed in a small group.
Who leads each small group?
We have a team of two volunteer adult leaders who lead each small group. All of our leaders are required to to through a background check, interview, and Child protection work shop before they are allowed to participate
