Epic (6-8th)

Welcome to EPIC

Everyday kids your age are constantly being yelled at and getting in trouble wherever you go for acting like a kid. We realize that you are full of energy and need a place to get it all out, where you can come to be with other kids your age who deal with the same feelings and situations that you face.

We also believe that every person that comes through our doors has an EPIC; a story centered on a hero, who against all odds saves the day. We believe that Jesus Christ is that hero and our goal is to connect Jr. High and High School student lives to Him!

That is why we have Epic, which meets every Wednesday from 6-8pm. We get together for an awesome night of games, fellowship, and worship through music and a message. Come try it out!

Check out this video featuring the stories of a bunch of our epic students!

Frequently Asked Questions:

Why do you call it EPIC?

We call Middle School Youth group “EPIC” because: 1.IT’S EPIC, and 2. We believe that God has written incredible “EPICS” (stories) for each of our Middle School students and we want to help them discover it!

What happens at EPIC?

We meet weekly from 6:00-7:45pm. We kick off the night with a big game in the gym, these games are always high energy and tons of fun! Next we do worship followed by a message in the youth room. The message varies from all kinds of topics! While all messages are Bible based, we like to share personal stories and key lessons from our own lives so that students can relate, get to know us, and hopefully find common ground with us. Finally, we break up into small groups after the message to discuss what we have heard, share our hearts, and pray for each other in a smaller setting. Small group are broken up by age and gender and led by a team of two volunteer adult leaders.

Is every student in a small group?

Yes!  Small groups are a vital piece to our ministry; students need to have the chance to process the messages they are hearing and share what is going on in their lives in a safe, comfortable, consistent setting.  This is why we do small groups EVERY week and every student that comes is placed in a small group.

Do i have to be a Christian or go to church to come to EPIC?

NO! EPIC is open to any middle school student (grade 6-8) in the Central Valley and no church affiliation is required. Feel free to bring a friend too!

Who leads the EPIC small groups?

We have a team of two volunteer adult leaders lead each small group.  All of our leaders are required to to through a background check, interview, and Child protection work shop before they are allowed to participate.

Students see Jesus in us, discover his story, and live it out!
