Why go on a mission trip?
One of the most life changing experiences our students encounter happens on mission trips. There is something really special that happens when you take a group of students out of their comfort zone and have them serve together for an extended period of time! Here at Cornerstone we do two mission trips: one local mission trip during spring break called the Chowchilla Project and another international trip in June. Our mission trips ALWAYS fill up, so if you are serious about going be sure to get a $50 non-refundable deposit to Logan or Mekelle to hold your spot. This year our international trip will be to Mexico! For more info on each mission trip, check out the info below!
Mission Trip to Mexico!
June 11-17th, 2017
This year we will be going on a mission trip to Mexico with Amor Ministries. On this trip we will build a house for a family in need!
Amor meets the tangible needs of the poor as a vehicle to share the love of Jesus with families and keep them together. They do this by providing homes, as well as food, clothing, backpacks filled with school supplies, Christmas presents, winter relief items like blankets and jackets, and water filters.
For more info about why we build the house, check out the video below!
Why build houses in Mexico?
Every Spring break we take a group of high schoolers on a mission trip TO Chowchilla. On this trip we serve breakfast at local missions, camp each night at Schnoor Park, and provide spring break camps for the kids of our community.
Not only does this trip bless our city and community, it also provides an incredible experience for all who attend. Most students who attend this trip consider it to be one of their greatest experiences in high school!
